We were transferred from the office to the pier on the way over, but on return we had to walk or get a cab from the port. Returning from Nusa Penida, it is a long walk on the beach to where their office is to exchange your voucher for the ticket, then a long walk back dragging your suitcase in the sand.
The crossing each way went well, it was fairly smooth and we had no issues although we were late leaving Sanur. Strangely all the ferries seem to leave at the same time making the lineup at the gate crowded and chaotic. Keep a close eye on the girl at the gate to see when she is waving your lanyard color so you will know when to go to the gate. |

ride was fine , allow at least a half hour delay time for departing and wrap your clothes inside a plastic rubbish bag inside your suitcase as some boats get all the luggage wet !
