  • Shark and mola-mola encounter
  • Turtle and nice coral reef and shark cave
  • Dive site for advanced or more experience divers

Gili Topekong and Gili Mimpang located next to each other, a small island of volcanic rock, is a 40 minute boat ride from Padang Bay. The water is colder here because it's exposed to the open sea. Pillars, caves and tunnels can be seen along with mackerel, barracuda, jacks, sharks and the mola-mola (great oceanic sunfish).
The highlight is a trench lined with huge boulders on the southwestern corner, the “Canyon”. Follow the inner edge of this canyon towards the west will reach an twin peaked seamount, "The Pinnacles". In general the Pinnacles are exposed to a mild current. This currents can some times can be very strong and create a "Toilet flash". Lots of schooling fish are home in this currents and attract pelagic hunters like Tunas, Barracudas and Sharks. The great variety of hard and soft corals provide shelter for many reef fishes like the Angler fish. The east side of Tepekong consists of a slope rich with hard and soft corals and sponges. Between 18 and 24 meters are coral bommies under which Reef and Nurse Sharks can be found as well as Lobster and Sting Rays. At the southern end of the slope we find a tunnel / cave at 18 meters which exits on the other end at 28 meters in a 50 meter vertical wall.
