WakaLandCruise Kintamani Trip
- An extraordinary journey by Land Rover or Land Cruiser to an area of spectacular natural beauty - Ki
WakaLandCruise takes visitors on an extraordinary journey, by Land Rover or Land Cruiser, to an area of spectacular natural beauty – Kintamani. The first stop of this day trip is at Tebasari plantation for a short tour of the plantation, an introduction to the various fruits and spices that are grown there, a demonstration of the coffee roasting process, and an opportunity to sample the freshly harvested coffees and teas.
Kintamani is the name given to the area surrounding Gunung Batur volcano and Lake Batur, which both sit within a massive, 25-thousand-year-old caldera. The dramatic view from the rim of the active volcano Mount Batur and the serene Lake Batur with Toya Bungkah village at the lake’s edge has to be one of the most photographed sights in Bali.
The journey brings you into what is often referred to as ‘the world’s most beautiful caldera’ for a drive through the rugged rocky terrain and mysterious lunar-like landscape of the black lava fields of the volcano, a remnant of the last major eruption.
See the magnificent sculpted rice terraces at Tegallalang with its layered mirrors unfold like giant stairways from the coconut-palm-forested-hilltop to the valley below.
You will be served a delicious lunch of local flavours at tera cotta restaurant.
You will visit Ubud Monkey Forest as the last stop point to observe the mischievous long-tailed grey macaques. The forest is also home to around 115 different species of trees and three ancient temples.
Inclusion:
- Coffee break with traditional snack at Tebasari Plantation
- Lunch with a complimentary soft drink or a seasonal fruit juice at Tera Cotta restaurant
- Mineral water during the journey
